Kids Can Luncheon - May 1, 2012
Our annual Kids Can luncheon fundraiser will be held in May 1, 2012. Last year's event was a huge success, raising over $54,000 for Kids Can programs!

Wells Fargo will once again be the event's presenting sponsor and the luncheon will feature keynote speaker, Dr. Jim Harter, co-author of Well Being: The Five Essential Elements. Jim Harter, Ph.D., is the primary researcher and author of the first meta-analysis to investigate the relationships between work-unit employee engagement and business results. He is author or coauthor of more than one thousand research studies on employee engagement and talent as well as industrial and organizational psychology. His most recent work explores citizen wellbeing around the world.
This year's Can Do! award winner is Dr. Laura Jana, an Omaha-based pediatrician, health communicator, and the award-winning author of Heading Home with Your Newborn and Food Fights. Well recognized nationally for her ongoing efforts to promote healthy lifestyles for children and offer credible practical parenting advice to new and expectant parents, Dr. Jana serves as a media spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatrics; is on the advisory board for American Baby magazine, The Walt Disney Internet Group and Nancy Snyderman’s BeWell Expert Network; and serves as an expert consultant for academic organizations, non-profits, and major corporations.
